Step Back in Time with the Golden Age of Television

New weekly series begins September 18 at Florence Sylvester Senior Center

Get ready to relive the iconic television of the 1950s in a new weekly series hosted by Florence Sylvester Senior Center. Starting Thursday, September 18 at 2 PM, this free program features Dr. Michelle Stanton, a retired professor of film and television from the Cal State University system, who will guide participants through the legacy and cultural impact of 13 beloved shows from TV’s early days.
Each one-hour session includes a 15-minute historical introduction, a 30-minute viewing of the featured episode, and a 15-minute recap and discussion. Whether you’re rediscovering a childhood favorite or watching these classics for the first time, this engaging program is designed to spark conversation, memory, and connection.
