The Captain's Ball gala recognizes companies or individuals who have gone above and beyond in their caring towards seniors. Annual Seniors' Prom
November 1st, 2009 at the Irvine Marriott

Hosted by Cox Communications, the Seniors’ Prom is widely known as "The senior event of the year." The evening welcomes over 1000 seniors from all over Orange County and features the big band music of Johnny Vana’s “Big Band Alumni.” Past Masters of Ceremonies have included celebrity Betty White, Mickey Rooney, Stephanie Edwards, and Orange County Register's Jane Glenn Haas.

Annual Founder's Tea

Our Annual Membership Tea Dance is sold out every year and hosts 300 people. The Annual Tea gives Senior Services an opportunity to recognize the Board of Directors, announce accomplishments from the current year and outline goals for the year ahead.

Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon
April 22nd, 2009

A celebratory event that recognizes the efforts and successes of the many volunteers of Senior Services. Ambassador of the year is announced.

AWSS held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon at Clubhouse 5 in Laguna Woods Village. The highlight of the event was the announcement of the Ambassador of the Year for the organization: Mr. Gene Burrus of Dana Point for the Dana Point Senior Center.
AWSS could not exist or thrive if it were not the 800 volunteers that give their time and their hearts. More than 370 dynamic volunteers were honored for their hard work and dedication.
